I need a visa to travel. How do I obtain a letter of Invitation?

The Invitation Letter Request Form initiate request for travel visas. You must be an active AIS member in order to receive an invitation letter. The AIS registrar will issue the Invitation Letter within two business days upon receipt of the completed form.

After completing your conference registration, you can complete the Visa Letter Request Form. The AIS registrar will issue the Visa Letter within two business days upon receipt of the completed form.

I need a visa to travel. How do I obtain a visa letter?

Complete your conference registration, then, complete Visa Letter Request Form. The AIS registrar will issue the Visa Letter within two business days upon receipt of the completed form.

Please note: your conference registration must be completed and paid in full to receive a Visa Letter.

What time zone is the conference in?

The conference will take place in Western European Time – Lisbon, Portugal – WET (UTC +0).

 

Are the conference proceedings included in my registration?

Yes, the conference proceedings will be available via the AIS eLibrary.

What is the recommended attire for the conference?

Conference attire is business casual. Meeting room temperatures may be cool, and climate varies, so layered clothing may provide the greatest comfort. Be sure to check the local weather for the current conditions. for the current conditions.

 

I have special dietary needs; how can I request special meals?

We will do our best to accommodate your dietary restrictions. Please advise us of your dietary restrictions during your conference registration prior to the conference. We need to be made aware of dietary restrictions at least four weeks before the conference start date; restrictions submitted within four weeks of the conference may not be accommodated.

Do I need to register if I am presenting?

For the paper to appear in the ICIS proceedings, at least one author of each paper is required to present at the scheduled paper session and be registered for the in-person conference by the early registration deadline. Failure to comply with this requirement will result in the removal of your paper from the conference proceedings.

Do I need to register if I am a co-author but not presenting?

Each additional co-author attending the conference must register independently.

Do I need to register if I am a session chair?

Yes.

Do I need to register if I am an ICIS 2026 conference committee member?

Yes.

Do I need to register if I am a mentor, panelist, or a workshop organizer?

Yes.

May I register to only attend the Pre-conference Workshops and/or the SIG/Ancillary meetings?

Most pre-conference workshops require full conference registration. A few ancillary only meetings are available here. Please select the appropriate ancillary only registration link.

If I have already registered, how do I add an Ancillary Meeting/Workshop to my registration?

To add a workshop or ancillary session to your full conference registration please follow this link and make sure you are logged into your AIS account. Click on “Modify Registration” in the top right corner. Click “Next” until you reach the Session Selection page. Add your desired sessions then click “Next” until you reach the “Order Review & Payment” page to pay the balance due.

Can I register and pay onsite?

Yes, you may register and pay onsite although we strongly encourage all participants to register and pay in advance due to space limitations and to ensure all your registration requests/needs can be met (all special meal requests must be submitted four weeks prior to the conference).

We accept personal checks, electronic funds transfer (Wire), ACH transfers, VISA, MasterCard and American Express. In addition, cash (USD) is accepted onsite. Please note conference badges will not be issued until payment is made in full. Register early to take advantage of the early registration discounts!

Can I pay after I attend the conference?

Conference registrations fees can be paid in advance or onsite but must be paid in full prior to collecting your badge and other registration materials.

Can I pay by purchase order?

Purchase orders are not permitted. Instead, you may complete the online registration form and select the check payment option as your form of payment and later remit payment. Please note that your registration will not be processed until payment has been received. If evidence of payment is not available onsite, the participant will be given a registration badge only after a valid credit card number has been provided as a guarantee until staff returns to the office following the conference to verify payment.

Can I pay by bank transfer?

Wire transfers are accepted. Please contact the conference registrar (registrar@aisnet.org) to request the wire transfer instructions. Next, complete the online registration form, be sure to select “check” as your method of payment. Once your wire payment is received, we will post the payment to your registration record, then send you an updated registration receipt to confirm.

Please Note: Conference badges will not be issued until payment is made in full. If evidence of payment is not available onsite, the participant will be given a registration badge only after he/she provides a valid credit card number as a guarantee until staff returns to the office following the conference to verify payment.

When is the last day for conference registration?

You may register onsite but availability is not guaranteed. We strongly encourage all participants to complete the conference registration as soon as possible.

What is the refund policy for conference registration cancellations?

Request for cancellation must be in writing via email to registrar@aisnet.org, and are subject to the following schedule:

  • Received by October 18: full refund less $150 administrative fee
  • Received between October 19 – November 22: full refund less $250 administrative fee
  • Received between November 23 – December 8: full refund less $450 administrative fee

Cancellation requests received beginning December 9th will not be eligible to receive a refund; the registrant will be liable for the full conference registration fee. This also includes workshop cancellations.

What if I would like to bring a guest?

Guest Full Package tickets are available for purchase and include a printed badge, all conference provided meals and evening events. Or you may purchase a guest individual ticket for the single evening events. You may pay for your guest ticket through the online registration form or make your purchase while onsite, pending availability.

IMPORTANT: Sessions, workshops, etc. Are not included. Guest passes are intended for accompanying guests only and are not available to doctoral students, faculty, professionals, or anyone participating in conference sessions or activities. These individuals must register for the full conference.

If I have already registered, how do I add a Guest Ticket to my registration?

To add a guest ticket to your full conference registration please follow this link and make sure you are logged in to your AIS account. Click on “Modify Registration” in the top right corner. Click “Next” until you reach the Add Guests page. Click “Add Guest” and complete the fields required for the guest ticket you wish to purchase. Click “Next” until you reach the “Order Review & Payment” page to pay the balance due.

The primary registrant must purchase a full conference registration to be eligible to purchase guest ticket(s).

I am not a member of AIS, can I attend the conference?

Unfortunately, no, as this conference is open to current members of AIS. Take the opportunity to join or renew your AIS membership by visiting AIS Membership Benefits for more information. I am an Institutional Member, how do I register?

Contact the Membership Director (membership@aisnet.org) to verify your eligibility and receive the appropriate promotional discount code prior to completing your online conference registration. Apply the promo code during your online registration.
